We were on the press today, and no joke. Our goals for the week:
Learn (or review) some simple binding techniques: one page books, accordions, pamphlets and variations.
Learn (or review) some simple letterpress techniques: printing from metal type, printing basic color shapes, pressure printing.
Print an artist’s book. In an edition. Bind it, then flaunt it.
So here we are on day two. Today was mostly devoted to art on the press. A little of this, a little of that. Some demonstrations, some experimentation and WHAM. Look at this:

We’re keeping busy all day, but will we manage to produce ten artists’ books in three days? Stay tuned to find out. In the meantime, here are some happy people:

Oh my goodness people are having fun. People are working. My question: how will you get the yarn out from the press? Can the knitting ever be used again? I know, I know, I am being silly.
